Masa leads this informal educational effort with a diverse portfolio of 2-12-month study,
service, and career development programs for young Jews (18-30).

main program, with a particular emphasis on excellence and leadership programming for
qualifying participants.

The Director of External Relations for Masa focuses on the programming, engagement,
cultivation, and of donors and prospects. This role involves working on missions, marketing
materials, research and new creating new engagement tools. The Director of External
Relations will create new and innovative ways to engage and excite prospects and donors
about the incredible work of Masa through a range of fundraising, social, cultural,
educational, and leadership opportunities. This position will report to the Chief
Development Officer of Masa.
Responsibilities:
Act as the point person for Masa mission requests. Develop mission modules that
best highlight the work of Masa. Liaise with partner organizations.
Serve as liaison to Masa marketing department in the creation of marketing
materials and other English language collateral for Masa
Develop and maintain a cohort and pipeline of potential donors including alumni
and parents of alumni.
Manage, research, and track a diverse portfolio of high-capacity constituents,
establishing meaningful relationships with donors and prospects, and exposing them
to the vital work of Masa; develop and implement appropriate education and
fundraising strategies to increase the dollars raised for Masa by employing a variety
of fundraising techniques, including face-to-face solicitations, fundraising events,
and types of internet based frd.
Create a speaker's bureau for Masa around the world.
Provide necessary professional support to lay leaders, including (but not limited to)
setting agendas, preparing reports and presentations, writing meeting notes,
providing necessary follow-up, and involving lay leadership in a strategic manner.
Participate in the Masa team as a key contributor to the overall strategy and
collaborate with the North American staff team.
Skills/Experience:
Minimum of two years’ fundraising, sales, or business development
experience, or significant involvement in the Jewish community
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, meticulous attention to
detail and follow-up
Knowledge of issues facing the Jewish community and passion for Israel.
Must be collaborative and a team player, with the ability to multitask; must
have an ease in working with high-capacity donors and prospects
Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
Entrepreneurial self-starter and out-of-the-box creative thinker.
Full time position, located in Jerusalem, driver's license required.
