Straus-Amiel | Beren Amiel
The Straus-Amiel | Beren Amiel Institute trains, places and provides ongoing professional support for young couples – rabbis and educators – who embark on Religious-Zionist shlichut across the world. The training provides the rabbis and educators with the tools necessary to undertake community leadership positions.
The program takes place once a week over the course of a year, and is geared towards young couples who have rabbinic and/or educational backgrounds (semicha, teaching degrees, experience in formal and informal education). In addition, we have a training program for Sefardi rabbis and a semicha program.
The studies take place in Migdal Oz, Gush Etzion. During the training, the couples receive a monthly stipend and also a special stipend upon leaving for their shlichut.
After graduation, the students assume educational and rabbinic leadership positions in the Diaspora, and receive ongoing support and training from the Institute.
