Amazing Israel- Marketing & Recruitment Associate
Amazing Israel is a Birthright Israel trip organizer that prides ourselves on being open, pluralistic and tolerant. We focus on showcasing many narratives and perspectives about Israel to our participants, and we’re looking for a Marketing and Recruitment Manager to help us spread our message to a wider audience and bring even more people on our amazing trips.
Among other things, the job includes working in the field on the ground in Israel to generate quality recruitment leads, managing all social media platforms and other mass marketing via email and SMS and updating content on Amazing Israel’s website.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. This position is part of an amazing team, but involves a lot of independent work, so applicants should be self-starters who are detail oriented and able to work on many projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of WordPress a plus. Experience with and knowledge of the North American Jewish community preferred.
Develop, execute and maintain a successful recruitment initiative in the field during the Birthright season.
Create a viable recruiter program from the field of past participants
Strategically plan, compose, schedule and analyze social media communications and mass marketing emails
Thoughtfully collect and compose content for social media and email messages that positively represents Amazing Israel’s brand and appeals to potential applicants
Use online databases to create lists of potential participants, alumni and staff for outreach (thinking critically about who to reach out to and when)
Work alongside Registration Department to ensure list of leads remains relevant and organized
Work alongside Amazing Israel Call Center to ensure effective communication strategies that are in line with brand standards
Write and update content on the Amazing Israel website
Respond to incoming messages across email, SMS and social media platforms (thoughtfully and in a timely manner)
Create and oversee Facebook groups for each of Amazing Israel’s current and former busses (ex. answering questions, posting about recruitment, etc.)
Meet with Amazing Israel groups in Israel to encourage social media participation and referrals
Compose and analyze participant feedback surveys
Interview and evaluate new incoming staff members
Write trip descriptions for Birthright Israel website and upload to Trip Date Management System
Ensure Amazing Israel’s marketing and communication efforts remain within the Birthright Israel branding guidelines
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management skills to work on many simultaneous projects
Efficiency with online databases and spreadsheets, particularly Excel
Proven experience with effective social media campaigns (preferred)
Experience with social media analysis (preferred)
Experience with and knowledge of the North American Jewish community (preferred)
SALARY: Competitive and commensurate with experience
